DCViews: review of the Nikon D70 SLR

Mark Peters : 2004-04-23 18:00:00
In December 2003 Nikon told the world of their plans of introducing a new digital SLR; the Nikon D70. At that moment nothing else was known about the specifications and a lot of rumours started floating around. Later, on January 28 2004, Nikon made an official announcement of Nikon D70's specifications. We were all amazed and kind of thrilled. Today the Nikon D70 is available worldwide and DCViews produced their opinion about this new DSLR from Nikon. The new D70 is a digital SLR camera that is within reach of many photography lovers now because of the attractive price. There are lots of people photographing with Nikon equipment who would like to step over to digital photography but are stopped because of the high costs of a digital SLR.

DCViews: Review of the Sony DSC-T1

Mark Peters : 2004-04-03 02:59:03
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 is a camera that should be awarded immediately with an award for its design. The beautifully designed housing, consisting of metal, has a large lens slide at the front which is also functioning as on/of switch. The DSC-T1 is a typical design camera but in this case one with a resolution of 5 Megapixels. The large LCD monitor at the back of the camera gives a full experience of the recorded image or recorded movie, stronger than ever before. The camera was introduced in November 2003 and is currently the most compact Cyber-shot camera. The Cyber-shot DSC-T1 is equipped with a new Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom, a 2.5 inch hybrid LCD monitor and a streamlined metal housing.

DCViews: HP Photosmart 945 review

Mark Peters : 2004-01-06 02:45:45
Lasts year HP introduced their 5 Megapixel Photosmart 945. This camera features a total resolution of 5.3 Megapixels and 8x optical zoom. Combined with a digital zoom the total zoom ends up at 56x. The HP Photosmart 945 digital camera is HP’s first digital camera to feature HP’s Adaptive Lighting Technology, a innovative technology that enables digital cameras to produce photos that look more like what consumers see with their own eyes. It relates the brightness to the bright and dark areas in a photo, preserving gentle contrasts while compressing harsh contrasts. The result is automatic contrast adjustment that lightens poorly illuminated objects and produces a true-to-life image.
