CeBIT 2005 demonstrates stability at high level

Dennis Hissink : 2004-12-16 14:33:40
CeBIT has solidified its position as the world's leading event for IT and telecommunications: with 6,115 exhibitors from 65 different countries (2004: 6,109 exhibitors from 64 countries) and orders for floor space currently running at 306,000 square meters (312,539), CeBIT 2005 - running from 10 to 16 March - will easily outdistance its closest rivals on the exhibition circuit. As one of the economy's key sectors, the international ICT industry is embracing its penultimate flagship fair. According to BITKOM, the Berlin-based Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media, a total of almost EUR 2.2 billion will be spent on IT and telecommunications in 2004, and the curve continues to point upward.
