Canon introduces three new scanners

Dennis Hissink : 2004-07-26 07:00:15
The need for creating digital libraries of everything from household bills and documents to old family photographs has drawn new customers to digital scanning. Canon's new CanoScan 3000 ex, CanoScan 8400F and CanoScan LiDE 35 Color Image Scanners provide consumers with quality, ease-of-use and simplicity at entry-level price points. "Canon's leadership in the digital imaging category has grown as a result of continued research of existing and potential customers," said Yukiaki Hashimoto, senior vice president and general manager of the consumer imaging group at Canon U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Canon Inc. "With features including the Z-Lid Expansion Top, and automatic multiple-scan driver mode, Canon delivers the scanning solutions".

Canon announces new CanoScan 5200F scanner

Dennis Hissink : 2004-05-06 08:08:00
Canon announces the 2400x4800 dpi, 48-bit colour depth CanoScan 5200F film and document scanner. A 6-frame Film Adapter Unit (FAU) allows high volume film scanning. Dust and scratches on spoiled film are automatically detected and removed with Canon’s highly accurate infra-red FARE Level 2 technology. A striking, sleek new design matches the scanner's strong technical specifications. Many of the CanoScan 5200F's features are designed to save time. An enlarged FAU allows up to six 35mm unmounted negatives or four 35mm mounted slides to be scanned in a single operation. A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection works together with a new, faster scanning engine to deliver excellent scan speeds on both Windows and Mac operating systems.
