Sigma 17-35mm EX DG HSM lens introduction

Dennis Hissink : 2003-11-18 01:00:00
Sigma 17-35mm EX DG HSM lens introduction : Sigma was the first brand to introduce the wide angle zoom lens. Back in 1979 Sigma unveiled their Sigma Zoom Gamma 21-35mm f3.5-f4 lens. From that year on Sigma developed the wide angle zoom lens into the lenses we know today. Sigma is adding another wide angle zoom lens to its series of lenses. This new lens, a successor of the Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-f4 EX Aspherical HSM lens will have a revised optical and mechanical design to provide a better performance. The new lens, Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-f4 EX DG HSM Aspherical lens, covers a super-wide angle of view 104?and has a large-aperture. It has a minimum focusing distance of 27mm at all focal lengths, and maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.5.

Sigma zoom lenses introduction

Dennis Hissink : 2003-10-27 01:00:10
Sigma zoom lenses introduction : Sigma unveils two Sigma zoom lenses exclusively designed to suit the characteristics of digital SLR cameras. The first lens is the Sigma 18-50mm F3.5-5.6 DC lens. The image circle was designed to match the size of the image sensors of digital SLR cameras, and this produced a compact lens with a max. diameter of 60mm, overall length of 67.5mm and weight of only 245gr. The size of the image sensor is meant to be not larger than the APS sized image sensors. If cameras with larger image sensors or 35mm SLR cameras are used vignetting will occur on the picture surface. It has a variable angle of view of 76.5?-31.7?. If Sigma SD9 or SD10 digital cameras are used, the angle of view will be equal to 30-85mm.

Sigma introduce new 28-300mm f3.5 - f6.3 Macro

Dennis Hissink : 2003-08-15 16:42:36
Sigma announce the availability of the new 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 MACRO lens. Ultra compact dimensions, length: 83.7mm (3.3”), diameter: 74mm (2.9”), Filter Size: 62mm and a 10.7:1 zoom ratio make this lens the ultimate traveling companion. It incorporates 2pcs Special Low Dispersion SLD glass elements and 4pcs Aspherical Lenses, to produce a high level of optical performance. Aspherical lenses provide excellent correction for all types of aberration while making a very compact construction possible. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 50cm at all focal lengths. It is equipped with a “zoom lock” to prevent the zoom setting from being changed inadvertently. It also incorporates an internal focusing system.

Sigma Japan introduceert 24-135mm f2.8-f4.5 lens

Dennis Hissink : 2003-07-20 18:19:20
