Eastman Kodak Company UK today unveiled its most advanced EasyShare digital camera to date, the Kodak EasyShare DX6490 zoom digital camera. With its unique combination of sophisticated features, exceptional performance, and £399.99 suggested retail price, it establishes a new price-to-performance benchmark for 'advanced amateur' photography, giving more people the opportunity to shoot like a professional. The DX6490 camera is the first to unite a professional quality Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 10X optical zoom lens (38-380 mm equivalent) with a f/2.8 – f/3.7 maximum aperture; a new Kodak Colour Science image processing chip for the richest and most accurate colours; low-light precision auto focusing.

The new Kodak EasyShare printer dock 4000 (US$199 MSRP is designed to work with the EasyShare DX4530 digital camera and other EasyShare CX/DX 3000- and 4000-series cameras.


Kodak introduces three new EasyShare cameras

Without any pre-information about this trio Kodak suddenly announces three new digital cameras. The new EasyShare DX6440 camera is the most advanced of the three new ones. It is equipped with a 4 Megapixel resolution CCD and a 4x optical Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon lens. New details are also an exclusive high-speed and low-light precision AF system and a new Kodak Color Science image processing algorithm. The second announcement is the EasyShare CX6330. This camera has a 3.1 Megapixel resolution and a 3x optical zoom lens. There are no specific new details on this one; it looks like an entry-level digital camera within the range of EasyShare cameras. The last one is the entry-level and price breaking EasyShare CX6200.
