Eastman Kodak Company today introduced the Kodak Professional DCS Pro 14n Digital Camera in a 512MB RAM version that delivers a greater burst depth for superb performance and flexibility. In addition, Kodak in late September will post on its website firmware v4.4 for the Pro 14n camera as well as the updated Kodak Professional DCS Photo Desk v3.2 software for all Kodak Professional DCS digital cameras. Kodak also announced that the Pro 14n camera the world's highest resolution, upgradeable, full-frame digital SLR camera that's compatible with Nikon lenses is out of backorder and is available immediately from authorized dealers of Kodak Professional digital cameras worldwide.

Kodak releases firmware update 4.3.1 for the DCS Pro 14n. The new following problems are fixed: A custom white balance issue, an intermittent problem with black images has been fixed and a compatibility issue with newer Microdrives. Additionally, an abundant amount of new features is made avialable with this firmware update. Kodak releases at the same time software updates for Kodak DCS Photo Desk version 3.1.0 and the Kodak Camera Manager version 3.1.0. Some new features are: Improved in-camera JPG color and improved DCR raw file color when using KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Photo Desk version 3.1 or later, Improved DCF file system. File names and folder name structure is unchanged but important changes in the way the camera handles folders.
