Our good friends from Imaging Resource have worked hard to get the beast under control! The new Nikon D2H, a frame rate killing machine, has been tested thoroughly and had to face the naked truth. At first pre-production samples had been going around and the first reactions were very direct and sometimes emotional. Later on, when everybody realized that these samples were not final yet, things started to calm down. This time those of you who can't wait getting their hands on this beauty just have to read the extended and thorough review! The Nikon D2H had an impressive debut, today the D2H will be around in the field. The Nikon D2H is a DSLR with a new internally-developed LBCAST sensor technology and a resolution of 4 Megapixels.

Imaging Resource: Pentax Optio 555 review

Dennis Hissink : 2003-12-11 15:22:52
The guys from Imaging Resource have posted a full review of the compact Pentax Optio 555 digital camera. This new Pentax model which was actually introduced during our stay at the IFA event in Berlin, Germany, last August, is a follow-up of the Optio 550 camera. The camera features a 5 Megapixels CCD and a remarkable 5x SMC Pentax optical zoom. The new Optio 555 is almost identical to the Optio 550 camera. Minor changes are an updated movie recording time and a longer shutter time. Nevertheless this nice little camera offers a lot of functionality and high resolution images. The camera's housing is made of metal which contributes to the camera's weight. Despite its handy format the Optio 555 offers a lot of functionality!

Mark Peters : 2003-11-28 00:42:39
The guys from Imaging Resource produced an in-depth review of the Olympus Camedia C-5060 WIDE ZOOM camera. This Olympus model is very interesting and is getting a lot of attention from our readers. The C-5060 WIDE ZOOM is a 5 Megapixels camera and starts with a length of 27mm (35mm camera equivalent)! The total focal length is 27-110mm. Besides its interesting optical zoom the C-5060 WIDE ZOOM camera also lives through its design features, such as the multi-angle high-resolution LCD monitor which, fixed to a flexible hinge, can be tilted up and swivelled round by 270°! The dual AF system ensures that objects are perfectly focussed, and four different exposure modes (P, S, A and M) should guarantee all-round photography.

Dennis Hissink : 2003-11-14 02:30:41
The guys from Imaging Resource updated their indepth review of the Minolta DiMAGE A1 with their final conclusion. The Minolta DiMAGE A1 is the latest in a series of DiMAGE SLR cameras that began way back with the original DiMAGE 7, the first 5 Megapixels prosumer camera in the world followed by the DiMAGE 7i and 7Hi cameras. In those days (2001) Minolta was the first who announced the 5 Megapixel camera and not just a regular camera, but a complete new designed SLR type camera with a remarkable 7x optical zoom. The new DiMAGE A1 is the latest Minolta SLR type generation and features, again, a new innovative technology. The Anti-Shake mode is a real interesting development and is a promising feature for future models.

Imaging Resource reviews Olympus C-5000z

Dennis Hissink : 2003-11-05 14:40:56
The guys from Imaging Resource produced an in-depth review of the Olympus Camedia C-5000z camera. This is one of the most recent models and updates the earlier Olympus Camedia C-4000z camera. The C-5000z is a 5 Megapixel camera with a wide variety of settings for the photo enthusiastic, but functions well as an user-friendly high resolution camera as well. The C-5000z shares its place with the C-5050 and C-5060 wide zoom cameras but with the advantage of having a very friendly price tag. According to Imaging Resource: "The C-5000 Zoom is missing a few of the extra details that the C-4000 boasted, such as the histogram display, movie editing capability, viewfinder diopter adjustment, AF modes, and Multi-Spot exposure metering."
