At US$399 manufacturer's suggested retail price, the Kodak EasyShare DX4530 zoom digital camera is one of the most affordable 5-megapixel cameras on the market. Epson introduce the PhotoPC L-400 camera

EPSON’s latest digital camera features a 4.07 MegaPixel CCD to deliver high quality, high-resolution images. With a built-in EPSON PhotoPC Engine, users can print high-street quality photos directly to EPSON’s range of photo printers. And EPSON has teamed up with Disney to offer exclusive Disney frames via EPSON Print Image Framer Technology. New Sony pocket Cyber-shot U range

Sony Europe today announces two pocket digital still cameras in its Cyber-shot U range that are close to making the digital still camera an essential lifestyle accessory. First is the DSC-U30, one of the most compact digital still cameras available in its class and the successor to the popular DSC-U20, a model which introduced the concept of the digital still camera as a pocket accessory. Next, the sporty DSC-U60 is the first waterproof pocket digital still camera in the Cyber-shot U range. A host of new features for both models include a hybrid LCD screen, more scene selection functions, enlarged playback and compatibility with Memory Stick PRO. Image resolution is 2 Megapixel and styling is sleek and classic.

Philips enters camera market with two models

Philips will introduce two new portable PC cameras, the MaxCam DMVC1000 and DMVC2000 that combine features of a PC camera and a digital camera in one. Both cameras have video and voice recording, still picture functionality, with a built-in memory of 16MB and the thin stylish design is only 20 and 28 mm, and therefore an easy carry-around media companion. The MaxCam cameras will be available in Europe mid 2003 at a price of Euro 149 (DMVC1000) and Euro 219 (DMVC2000). The top of the range model DMVC2000 combines needs of business and personal digital life in one convenient device. It is not a dual mode, but in fact it is a multipurpose portable camera. The camera features a web camera, digital still camera and a video clip recorder.


Sony unveils three new MS Pro compatible cameras

Sony has announced three new Cyber Shot cameras that are all 3 Megapixels to begin with. It seems that 3 Megapixel resolution cameras are beginning to become entry-level resolution cameras. The three new ones, DSC-P32, DSC-P52 and the DSC-P72, are the first new Sony products that are fully compatible with the new Memory Stick Pro, but also important, are also fully compatible with the present generation Memory Stick. The three new Cyber-shot digital still cameras will make digital photography more accessible than ever. The three new models, the DSC-P32, DSC-P52 and DSC-P72 pack in more pixels and more features than their predecessors. They all offer 3 Megapixel image quality, produce stunning images in a diverse range of conditions.


Minolta USA announces the new DiMAGE S414 camera

Minolta is starting to get ready to introduce their new products right before the PMA show is actually starting. The new DiMAGE S414 is a camera of which it is not sure at all that it will be launched in Europe as well. We have to wait and see whatever Minolta Europe will decide to do. For now Minolta USA published their official press release.
