Only shortly DCViews has started to test digital cameras. Recently it was the Sony Cyber-Shot V1 cameras' turn. This model was introduced world-wide at the PMA beginning of this year. Six months ago the camera was awarded with the TIPA award. The housing of the camera is a complete new design, featuring a high quality Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar lens with a 4x optical zoom. This total optical focus range is the equivalent of 34-136mm at a 35mm camera. The camera is equipped with a 1/1.8 inch 5 Megapixels CCD. The Cyber-Shot V1 is one of the first digital Sony cameras to support the optional Memory Stick PRO as well as the standard Memory Stick. The new Memory Stick PRO is available with the following storage capacities: 256, 512MB and 1GB.
