Canon introduces a new Bubble Jet i450 printer

Dennis Hissink : 2003-07-20 14:50:48
Canon is pleased to announce the launch of the Bubble Jet i450, a truly breakthrough product for its price, offering top quality photo printing, and mono and colour documents at record-breaking speeds. The i450 boasts improved mono print speeds of 18ppm and 12ppm straight out of the box performance – the fastest of any inkjet in its class, according to Canon's tests. The i450 manages to increase print speed by 30% over its predecessor thanks to mechanical enhancements to the auto paper feeder, carriage movement, and a longer mono head that prints on one pass, bi-directionally. Photo print speeds are also the fastest in its class – the i450 is capable of producing a 4"x 6" photo with 1200dpi prints in approximately 62 seconds.

Canon is pleased to announce the launch of two new printers - the Bubble Jet i250 and Bubble Jet i350. The new models are tailored for the expanding entry-level market of home users who expect high quality and advanced technology at an affordable price. The i350 also offers borderless photo printing. Replacing Canon's S200x and i320 respectively, the Bubble Jet i250 and i350 offer 4800 x 1200dpi printing - the highest resolution of any entry level printers. Adopting the popular, award-winning design of the Bubble Jet i320, the Bubble Jet i250 and i350 are small enough to be hidden away in a desk drawer and are a massive 120% faster than Canon's previous entry-level printer, the S200x.

Firstlook on the new Canon PowerShot G5

Dennis Hissink : 2003-07-16 23:12:45
Today Canon introduces its new 5 Megapixel Powershot member of their successful range of G1, G2 and G3 cameras. The new PowerShot G5 is, surprise, equipped with a 5 Megapixel resolution and it looks remarkably the same as the Powershot G3 camera that was introduced last year. Last month we had the opportunity to take a quick glance at this new model and as far as we can see it has the same body as the PowerShot G3, but this time only in a black finish. The new PowerShot G5 has a nice bright f2.0 (wide) lens, a total of 4x optical zoom, and offers a wide range of functions for the serious amateur and professional photographer.
