XeroxXerox 7600 photo scanner : For photo enthusiasts looking for a color scanner that’s ultra slim, portable and easy to use, Xerox Corporation unveiled the Xerox 7600, a compact flatbed scanner that conveniently plugs into their computer’s USB bus. Priced at only $99.99, the device can scan up to 1200 x 1200 dpi in 48-bit color and comes bundled with a suite of document and image management software that streamlines scanning processes. The Xerox 7600 scanner includes Visioneer OneTouch scanning technology to eliminate the multiple steps usually required to send scanned documents or photos to an application. With OneTouch scanning technology users can touch one button and complete the scanning task, not just launch the program.

The Xerox 7600 scanner includes front panel buttons to scan, copy, OCR and e-mail, and a fifth button for custom scan setting. The buttons are pre-configured at the optimal settings for these most common scanning tasks, enabling first-time users to begin scanning immediately. Advanced users can quickly customize any of the buttons for even more functionality or to suit their own scanning needs and preferences. Priced at $99.99, the Xerox 7600 is available worldwide through online retailers.

“Small/home office professionals and students will love the low price, the portability, and the quality results of the Xerox 7600 flatbed photo scanner. It is an ideal scanning solution for anyone who needs a fast, flatbed scanner and outstanding software to enhance their scanning productivity,” said Bob Scaglia, senior vice president of retail and e-commerce sales for Xerox scanners. “Weighing just 3.3 pounds, measuring less than 1.5 inches tall, and powered by the USB port, the Xerox 7600 is a truly portable photo scanner. The addition of the hinged lid provides the added benefits of versatility for scanning books, magazines or oversized objects,” he said.

Abundant software bundle
The Xerox 7600 flatbed photo scanner comes complete with Nuance PaperPort 11 SE with built-in OCR and ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5.0. Award-winning PaperPort software is the world’s best-selling document and image management application. ArcSoft PhotoImpression is an easy-to-use photo editing and creative design program that allows users to edit and retouch photos, then add special effects or place them in cards, calendars, frames and templates. As a result, this software bundle let users easily organize scanned and electronic documents, edit and share photos and repurpose text through OCR for use in other programs without retyping.
