Samsung GX20 Photo Gallery : At a Samsung press conference held in castle 'de Hooge Vuursche' situated in Baarn, the Netherlands, I was given the opportunity to shoot with the Samsung GX20 digital SLR camera. The Samsung GX20 DLSR features a 14.6 Megapixel CMOS sensor, an integrated dual dust removal system, a 2.7 inch LCD monitor with Live View, an optical image stabilizer and an enhanced digital filter system that adds to a high dynamic range. The Samsung GX-20 SLR camera has a silicon sealing protecting the camera effectively against water and dust. The nature photographer will certainly appreciate this feature. The Live View function facilitates shooting from impossible angles and positions.

The Samsung GX20 is not particularly a light-weighted device (790 grams), nor is it a compact SLR camera (5.6x3.9x2.8 inches). The body has an excellent hand-fit and a high quality feel thanks to its weight and dimensions among other things. The silicon sealing allows you to use the Samsung GX20 in every thinkable situation. The dual dust removal system prevents most dust particles from sticking to the sensor whilst the ones that do stick get removed by a part of the sensor that is capable to move and thus shake off the dust.

Besides the 14.6 Megapixel CMOS sensor and Live View functionality, the owner of a Samsung GX20 will have a number of valuable camera features at his disposal such as; built-in image stabilisation, 11-point auto focus system with 9 cross type sensors, sensitivity up to ISO 6400 and a pixel mapping system that is capable of interpolating missing digital pixels. Users of the Samsung GX20 have a broad choice of lenses since Pentax lenses are available to use with the GX20. For example the well-known Pentax Pancake lenses.
Castle de Hooge Vuursche in Baarn, the Netherlands
The Samsung GX20 pictures were taken near Castle 'de Hooge Vuursche' in Baarn, the Netherlands. Eduard Cuypers is the architect of castle 'de Hooge Vuursche' that opened in 1912. A mercantile marine officer, Johannes Adrianus van den Bosch and his spouse named Barnesse van Hardenbroek ordered the building of the castle. Famous Dutch artists added many ornaments to the exterior of the castle. In 1939 the castle reopened as a hotel-restaurant but was severely damaged by a huge fire after the first year of its reopening. Meanwhile, the castle has had various owners; Heineken (a Dutch beer brewer) is one of them. As from 2006 the mansion belongs to the Event Company and has been renovated in 2007. It turned out to be the perfect location for Samsung's press conference. Even the weather played along and we were able to enjoy some sunshine.
