NokiaNokia N95 8GB Review : At first glance the Nokia N95 8GB camera phone has a limited amount of buttons. It gives the device its placid look. The front side caries the buttons for the menu, the multimedia menu, answering and ending a call. Directly below the monitor the buttons are found for confirming an option in the menu or to go back one step. When you slide down the slider system, the multimedia buttons appear. We find the play, stop, pause, next and previous buttons here. The Nokia N95 8GB multimedia buttons make operating the multimedia functions a child's play. When the slider system is slid up, the numeric keys appear. The numeric keys have good relief and give better tactile feedback.
Nokia N95 8GB Review

Nokia camera phone
The 5 Megapixel digital camera incorporated in the Nokia N95 8GB features a Carl Zeiss lens, LED flash and auto focus. Unfortunately the camera does not contain an optical zoom. The competition, like the Samsung G800, features a 3x optical zoom. The advantage of an optical zoom compared to a digital zoom is that the image quality does not decrease when zooming in. The N95 8GB has a 6x digital zoom at its disposal with maximum resolution. When using maximum zoom, the picture quality decreases but the picture can still be used for example for Internet publication.

This was a perfect time to take the Nokia 8GB N95 with us to the States. The environments of Las Vegas are very nice to take test pictures. The camera performed well, especially in good light circumstances. The colors are bright and the captured pictures are clear. When shooting in badly lit circumstances the quality drops dramatically and we notice the shortcomings of the sensor and the pixel sensitivity. The usual shortcomings of today's mobile photography.
