Microsoft HD photo format
“This allows us to offer our users the many benefits of raw camera formats while removing the complexity created by camera-specific raw formats. And by including HD Photo as a native format produced by the camera when a photo is taken, camera manufacturers can participate in creating a new industry standard that will deliver an improved user experience. Rather than having to worry about camera-specific formats, customers will be able to focus their attention on the image they want to capture.”
