OlympusOlympus E410 Underwater Pro Kit : Olympus is pleased to announce the release of six kits tailored to the requirements of photographers working in professional fields. Each features the superior technology and latest imaging innovations of the Olympus E-System. Based on either an E-410 or E-510 D-SLR body, all kits boast Live View for ease of framing and incorporate a new generation 10 Megapixel Live MOS sensor so that image quality, speed and sensitivity are all second to none. Thanks to adherence to the Four Thirds Standard, the six new pro kits offer cross-manufacturer compatibility to safeguard the investment for the future. The following kit is now available - E-410 Underwater Pro Kit.

About Olympus Four Thirds System
This is the first and currently only open standard for digital SLRs. As the name suggests, Four Thirds systems use a 4/3-type image sensor, the size of which allows the development of tailor-made interchangeable lenses. These are not only smaller and lighter, but also offer a greater light-gathering power than lenses based on the 35mm film format. Besides Olympus, current members of the Four Thirds consortium include Kodak, Fuji, Sanyo, Sigma, Panasonic and Leica.

Framing has always been one of the most problematic issues for underwater D-SLR photographers. With the E-410, this is not a problem. Thanks to Live View capabilities, subjects can be clearly spotted and framed - even through a diving mask - on the large 6.4cm HyperCrystal LCD. All camera settings can also be displayed on the LCD. The Underwater Pro Kit includes the ultra-compact and ultra-light E-410 body, Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 and Zuiko Digital ED 50mm 1:2.0 Macro lenses, FL-36 external flash, and corresponding underwater cases, ports and bracket (PT-E03 Kit, PFL-E01, PPO-E03, PTBK-E01 and UCLS Longarm Set). Underwater photographs from depths of up to 40m are therefore a reality. The kit provides for versatility from wide-angle to mid-telephoto needs (equivalent to 28-100mm on a 35mm camera), and also includes a bright macro lens for dazzling close-ups of marine life. Furthermore, the flash unit perfectly illuminates the colours of a unique world, even in the murky depths.
