KingstonWorld Cyber Games championship sponsored by Kingston : Kingston Technology Company, Inc., announced it is the official memory sponsor for the finals of the World Cyber Games (WCG) Championships, to be held October 4-7, 2007, in Seattle, WA. The finals are expected to draw approximately 700 gamers representing over 70 countries, as individual and team-based competitors go head-to-head in eight PC games and four console games for the title of world champion. Kingston will showcase its latest gaming memory modules during the finals at the Qwest Field Events Center. “Kingston is proud to sponsor the finals of the most popular gaming event in the world,” said Dara Sun, HyperX product manager, Kingston.

Dara Sun added: “Memory is critical to gaming, especially in this competition. Kingston HyperX represents the cutting edge of high-speed, high performance memory and can be the deciding factor in the winner’s circle.” Qualifying tournaments have been held around the world since March leading up to the finals. The World Cyber Games has grown in popularity each year as over one-million gamers spanning six continents have competed since its inception in 2000. The World Cyber Games has a similar selection process to the Olympic Games for determining host cities. Previous sites for finals include Seoul (South Korea), Daejon (South Korea), Singapore, Monza (Italy) and San Francisco, CA.
