Variable focus liquid lens : Varioptic and IVA Corporation announce the launch of the first 2 Megapixel CMOS digital camera with a variable focus liquid lens - IVIN 2M USB 2.0. The new IVIN 2M USB 2.0 camera features a CMOS imager with selectable display resolution from 320 X 240 @ 30 frames/second up to 1600 X 1200 @ 15 frames/second incorporating a progressive scan sensor with an electronic rolling shutter. At 39mm by 37mm, it is a very low power, high performance CMOS image acquisition device. It integrates a Varioptic variable focus Liquid Lens allowing “close up” to infinity focus control done completely electronically with no moving parts.
