SanDisk attracts new legal management president : SanDisk Corporation announced the appointment of Jim Brelsford as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Brelsford brings many years of technology industry experience that includes a diverse spectrum of roles in legal affairs and business development. In addition, he has worked closely with businesses and boards of directors on strategic, operational and compliance matters. “SanDisk has a growing portfolio of products, businesses and intellectual properties that require strong legal leadership,” said Bruner. “Jim will use his extensive experience to provide that direction and leverage our opportunities to maximize growth.”

SanDisk - Jim Brelsford
At SanDisk, Brelsford is responsible for all aspects of the company’s legal management, including commercial contracts, intellectual property and licensing, corporate governance matters, strategic and transactional support for joint ventures and other new business ventures, and litigation. He will report to Judy Bruner, SanDisk’s executive vice president, Administration and CFO.
Jim Brelsford - Senior vice president of general counsel & Corporate secretary
Before joining SanDisk, Brelsford was executive vice president of corporate development, and prior to that general counsel, at the worldwide mobile media company Hands-On-Mobile, Inc. Previously, he was a partner at the law firm of Jones Day where he advised technology companies on a broad range of transactions and topics, including intellectual property, licensing, and mergers and acquisitions. Brelsford’s career also includes the role of senior vice president of business development at Excite@Home, and regional managing partner at the law firm of Perkins Coie, where he served technology clients. Brelsford holds a law degree from the University of California, Davis.
