Providing speed and capacity increases in the smallest footprint available, Kingston microSDHC cards are perfect to meet the rising multimedia demands of mobile phones and digital devices able to take advantage of the advanced expansion memory platform. “As next-generation mobile phones promise cutting edge functionality in ever-smaller form factors, demands increase on hardware to deliver these features, particularly in the area of expansion memory where storage and read/write performance becomes greater,” said Jean Wong, Flash memory product manager, Kingston.

Jean Wong added: “Kingston is following the natural progression of mobile technology and we timed our microSDHC roll-out to be in step as the need materializes,” added Wong. The new microSDHC 4GB card, part number #: (SDC4/4GB) carries a suggested price of $91.00 (MSRP US) and is the first offering in the Kingston microSDHC product line. The format may emerge as the predominant mobile memory standard as more handset manufacturers, including Blackberry, HTC, LG, Motorola, and Nokia embrace it with new or planned microSDHC-compatible mobile phones.

Kingston 4GB microSDHC cards - Adapter
Concurrent with the release of the 4GB card, Kingston is launching an adapter pack, part number #: (SDC4/4GB+2ADP) to help consumers optimize using their microSDHC cards with PCs and other digital devices. The microSDHC 4GB card with two adapters (mini- and full-size SD) has a suggested price of $93.00. Able to hold more than 2,000 images, 1,000 digital music tracks or 8 hours of MPEG4 video, the Kingston 4GB microSDHC card surpasses capacities beyond the 2GB threshold of the original microSD card format. While identical in physical size to the original microSD card, microSDHC is compatible with microSDHC host devices only and not backward compatible with standard microSD-enabled devices or readers. Backed by a lifetime warranty and 24/7 technical support, Kingston microSDHC Flash memory cards are available through distributors, resellers, retailers, e-tailers and online.
