NewsCompact network surveillance cameras from Axis : Axis Communications announced two ultra-compact cameras, Axis 209FD Network Camera and Axis 209MFD Network Camera, created specifically for indoor locations that require smart, non-invasive cameras. The cameras are ideal for places such as retail stores, reception areas, offices and hallways. “These new cameras address the increasing market demand for network cameras that provide high resolution but are not seen as invasive,” says Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. “The added megapixel technology in the Axis 209MFD makes it possible to view image details needed for identifying individuals, objects and environments even from far distances.”
Axis 209 FD & 209MFD network cameras
Axis 209FD and Axis 209MFD network cameras are only four centimeters high (1.54 inches) and are easy to install on ceilings and walls. Equipped with power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, each network camera uses one Ethernet cable for power and video, making installation quick and cost efficient. The cameras use progressive scan technology to provide sharp images of moving objects and deliver simultaneous Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 video streams that allow optimization of image quality and bandwidth efficiency. The cameras are supported by the industry’s largest range of application software through the Axis Application Development Partner (ADP) program and the Axis Camera Station video management software.
