SonySony Bravia Theatre HTP-BD2RSF : Sony invented ‘home cinema in a box’, giving you everything you need for a superb home entertainment experience in one simple package. Now, we’re taking the concept to a new level with our first-ever Blu-ray Disc system, the Bravia Theatre HTP-BD2RSF, complete with Blu-ray Disc player, multi-channel digital receiver and top-quality speaker package. Blu-ray Disc gives you better picture and sound quality than ever before, rivalling what you’d experience at the cinema. At the heart of this new system is the Sony BDP-S300 player, which will deliver superb quality from the new High Definition discs, as well as playing your existing DVD and CD titles.
Sony HTP-BD2RSF - Full HD 1080p
The slimline player delivers Full HD 1080p video into suitable displays, such as the latest Sony Bravia models, and also offers 24-frame video. 24p True Cinema allows the viewer to see the movie as the director intended, at 24 frames a second, with none of the speeding-up and jerkiness involved in lesser systems. And it will even upscale your existing DVDs to 1080p for the best possible picture on Full HD Bravia TVs. The HTP-BD2RSF also has onboard decoding of Dolby Digital Plus for the ultimate surround sound experience.

Sony HT-SF2000 home theatre system
The Blu-ray Disc player is perfectly matched with the Sony HT-SF2000 Home Theatre System. It comprises a receiver using 32bit full digital S-Master amplification to deliver 1000W total output power, plus a package of speakers designed to make the most of the amazing sound of all your entertainment sources. Taking the decoded sound from the BDP-S300 in High Definition Linear PCM, it will deliver a stunning surround performance to match the superb picture quality of Blu-ray Disc.

Sony Bravia Theatre BD2RSF system
The speakers in the Sony HTP-BD2RSF system have height-adjustable stands to match them to the screen of your Bravia TV, and can also be wall-mounted. Dedicated 2-way front speakers, centre and surround speakers are all part of the package, along with a compact but powerful subwoofer. The HTP-BD2RSF has three-in, one-out HDMI connections, allowing an entire system to be fed through to your Bravia TV set, and Bravia Theatre Sync allows you true ‘one-touch’ operation of a complete Sony system. For example, press the play button on the player’s remote control and the system fires up, the TV switches on and selects the correct input, and the movie starts playing. It all means no more scrabbling for the correct remote, and no fistful of handsets to drive the system: one remote will do it all. It couldn’t be simpler.

Digital cinema auto calibration
Because each room has its own acoustic characteristics, enthusiasts sometimes spend hours moving speakers, adjusting levels and playing with a whole stack of other settings to get the best surround sound. The Sony HTP-BD2RSF does all that for you - at the push of a button! It’s all done with Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration, acknowledged as one of the fastest and most accurate systems of its kind. Simply plug the provided microphone into the receiver, place it where you would normally sit and press one button: the system runs a short sequence of tests, analyses the results and computes the ideal volume, delay and frequency settings for your speakers. And that’s it - your system’s set-up and ready to fill your room with amazing surround sound, regardless of shape and size.

Sony Digital Media port
Whether on an MP3 player or a music-capable mobile phone such as the Sony Ericsson WalkMan models, most of us carry our favourite tunes with us. The HTP-BD2RSF can release your music from any of those devices or even stream it from your computer wirelessly. As optional extras, there are two adapters for MP3 players including the Network WalkMan. And if you prefer things wireless, you can choose the TDM-BT1 to stream music via Bluetooth from devices such as A2DP compatible ‘music phones’, or the TDM-NC1 to hook into your home Wi-Fi network and stream music from a VAIO laptop or other computers. The system additionally has a Portable Audio Enhancer, which applies sophisticated digital signal processing to expand the sound of compressed music from portable players.

Sony HTP-BD2RSF home theatre system - Availability

The Sony HTP-BD2RSF will be available in November 2007.
