SamsungSamsung printer vision : Samsung Electronics America Inc. has its new vision set on leading the printer industry with printer business solutions for the laser printer & multi-function printer (MFP) category. Backed by its ownership of printer research & development, design and manufacturing processes, Samsung is working to accomplish its goal by delivering superior value, superior reliability, and superior solutions to business printing users through its growing product line of Professional Series Printers. “Samsung recognizes that laser printing solutions and color are the next revolution to the enhancement of business printing,” said J.H. Kim, President, Samsung’s Information Technology Division (ITD).

Samsung’s ownership of the printer manufacturing, research, design and development process gives the company a significant competitive advantage over other companies who are dependent upon vendors for various core hardware & software components. Samsung dedicates a significant portion of its printing global revenue and scientists to the research and development (R&D) of new printing technologies. This technology investment formula is already prevalent in other committed technologies such as: LCD panel, CDMA handset and DRAM manufacturing.
