Recording time has been extended through the use of a new battery combined with new circuitry that consumes less power. What hasn’t changed is JVC’s popular data battery feature that at the push of a button displays battery strength and remaining recording time with and without using the LCD monitor.

JVC MiniDV video cameras - Dual recording
The top two models in the new lineup feature Dual Recording, which allows users to shoot digital still images while recording video, as well as Auto Illumi light for shooting in low-light situations. Both models are also equipped with the Live Slow function. Unique to JVC, this function lets you spice up your video with slow motion and live sound. Convenient features such as Data Battery, Multi-Language On-Screen and Power-linked Operation are also provided. Current JVC original technologies like the Super High-Band Processor and 3D NR (3-Dimension Noise Reduction) assure high quality footage possible, while the Digital Colour NightScope allows shooting in low-light environments. The Clear LCD Monitor reduces surface glare for a clearer view when shooting outdoors. All of these inventive features offer a new and richer videographic experience.

Live Slow allows you to record slow motion images and play them back with real-time sound on the JVC GR-D770 / JVC 760. This technology is extremely useful for playing back precious or hard-to-see moments as the speed is slowed down to a quarter of normal playing speed. This effect is achieved by the camera recording the picture at 1/4 the normal speed, proving a clear, professional-quality slow motion effect. Slow motion images are recorded with sound on a DVC tape and played back in real time, allowing you to view greater detail in the image. In addition, even footage shot at normal speed can be played back with the slow motion effect. In this way precious moments become all the more enjoyable.

JVC video cameras - Data Button
All JVC digital video cameras are provided with the Data Battery, Multi-Language On-Screen, Power-Linked Operation functions and Auto Button. The slim new 135-min. Data Battery (with continuous shooting) allows you to shoot important occasions with peace of mind. Remaining battery and recording time can be easily viewed simply touching the DATA button, even when the power is turned off. This allows you to check the remaining power for the battery and recording time before shooting, so you can avoid having the battery run out during shooting. With the popular and convenient Power-Linked Operation, the camera automatically turns on when the LCD monitor is opened or the viewfinder is pulled out so users can start shooting immediately, and automatically turns off when the LCD is closed or viewfinder is pushed back in to save battery drain.

JVC MiniDV digital video cameras
The AUTO Button toggles the camera between manual and automatic operation with just one touch. This convenient feature allows the user to shoot in the worry-free automatic mode, or whichever mode the camcorder is previously set, and then quickly switch to manual mode in order to control specific functions, such as exposure. JVC’s 3D NR (3-Dimension Noise Reduction) compares field A to field A, and field B to field B across two frames so that the scanning lines are identical and noise can be reduced more accurately. As a result, the signal-to-noise ratio is improved by 2 dB and noise is reduced by about 30%. This eliminates flicker and improves colour reproduction, enhancing overall picture quality.

JVC D770 & JVC 760 video cameras
In addition, the JVC GR-D770 / 760's Auto Illumi. Light brightens up the subject, providing a brilliant full-colour picture using energy-efficient LEDs to reduce battery drain. And since this light automatically turns off in bright environments, battery power won’t be needlessly wasted. In sum, JVC’s emphasis on innovative features and ease of use allow you to effortlessly capture professional-looking video and still images, while the variety of useful interfaces enable these digital video cameras to work effectively with personal computers and other digital devices.
