FotoNation - 2007 6Sight conference
This year’s focus will be on imaging research that is applicable to digital cameras and mobile camera phones. FotoNation will solicit invitations, evaluate submissions and determine the finalists that will present at the conference. The 2007 6Sight conference will be held Nov. 8-9 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, California. Digital Eye is one of the key themes of this year’s conference, which will examine the drive to capture and store data that faithfully reproduces our experience of vision - ultra-high image quality, motion, depth and more. As a silver sponsor, FotoNation will make a major contribution to this theme at the 6Sight event.
Digital imaging technology - Face detection
“We have a rich and successful history of working closely with academia to commercialize some of the most cutting edge research in embedded image processing. Research in face detection is still in its infancy and there are a tremendous amount of new capabilities that can be brought to the mass market,” said Eran Steinberg, CEO, FotoNation Inc. “The 6Sight conference is one of the premier forums in our industry and we look forward to presenting the latest research to the market leaders who will be attending.”
FotoNation & 6Sight partnership - Digital Eye
“The human face has always been the single most important focus of imaging, from the earliest days of the photography industry to today’s face-detecting cameras,” said Alexis Gerard, President of Future Image, Chair of the 6Sight conference and author of ‘Going Visual.’ “We’re excited to be working with Fotonation, a renowned technology and thought leader in this area, to bring the very latest in world-wide research to the 6Sight event as part of our ‘Digital Eye’ theme.”
