CasioCasio changes name into Casio America : Casio, Inc, the US subsidiary of Casio Computer Co. Ltd., a global leader in the consumer electronics industry, officially changed its name to Casio America, Inc., effective today. The new name change follows the company’s major milestone, which was welcomed in June of 2007 – the 50th Anniversary of Casio Computer Co., Ltd. It was 50 years ago that the four Kashio brothers invented the electric calculator and decided to go into business, leading to the establishment of Casio Computer Co., Ltd. With the passing of time, Casio has evolved from manufacturing some of the world’s first calculators to developing digital watches, electronic musical instruments and digital cameras.

Casio’s core competency of minia-turization and innovation has lead to a huge success throughout all product lines, which has greatly enhanced Casio, Inc.’s business across all product categories. “Casio America, Inc. clearly demonstrates Casio’s position as an innovative global company with many subsidiaries in the world,” said John F. Homlish, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Casio America, Inc. “We want our company name to articulate the responsible sales activity area, we feel that the sales sector will be better understood under one all-encompassing name.”

Casio America - Sales & Marketing department
Recently under Homlish’s direction in April 2007, the sales and marketing organization of Casio America, Inc. has undergone a complete reorganization and consolidation. The reorganization has strengthened the previous structure from six product divisions into four areas of business, each headed up by a vice president of marketing. Two new sales vice presidents, one each for national accounts and for regional accounts, manage the company’s sales.

Casio America - Consumer Electronics industry
