Version 3.1 is available free to all registered users of WinZip SE 3.0. Registered users of older versions of WinZip Self Extractor can upgrade for just $24.95. Multi-user pricing is also available. WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 is an ideal method for convenient, fast, secure electronic file distribution, as the sender doesn't need to worry whether the recipient has a compatible Zip utility. With WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1, users can send smaller Zip files with the added security of AES encryption and the files will unzip automatically for the recipient.

• WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 is the first version of WinZip Self-Extractor to feature compatibility with Windows Vista. WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 also features a new HTML help system and new Windows Vista icons.
• WinZip Self-Extractor 3.1 now supports larger icons for self-extracting executables, adding support for 96x96, 128x128, and 256x256 icons to existing support for 16x16, 32x32, and 48x48 icon sizes.
• Using the "Run as Administrator" option, users can specify the privilege level required to run self-extracting executable files and notify Windows Vista automatically.
