Canon USA names president of financial services : Canon USA, Inc., a leader in digital imaging technology, announced the appointment of Richard P. Palmieri as President of Canon Financial Services. Canon Financial Services, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon USA, and is concentrated on the financing and leasing of Canon commercial equipment, such as copiers, fax machines and printers, as well as medical equipment and broadcast television equipment, through authorized dealers. Palmieri has an impressive 25-year background in diversified financial services. Most recently, he has served as president of Schneider Financial Services, a subsidiary of transportation industry leader, Schneider National.

Palmieri has also been a managing director of investment banking for Credit Suisse Group. Palmieri is active in the financial services industry as a member of the experts panel of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, and as a past chairman of the Commercial Finance Association. “We are pleased to have Richard Palmieri, who has impeccable credentials in the financial services arena, join our leadership team,” said Ryoichi Bamba, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Canon USA “Canon Financial Services is an important aspect of our philosophy of providing customers with superior services and we look forward to this business growing under Richard’s stewardship.”
