EpsonPleasance Theatre for the Edinburgh Fringe : Epson announced its involvement in an innovative exhibition planned by the Pleasance Theatre for the Edinburgh Fringe. The Pleasance is the largest of the fringe venues and its courtyard is the place to meet. This year the Pleasance, photographer Jamie Gramston and printer manufacturer Epson are collaborating to create a rolling, day by day exhibition capturing the people and productions of the Fringe. Jamie will print his images onsite using an Epson Stylus Pro 3800 pro-graphics printer, award winning UltraChrome K3 ink and Epson media. Epson’s UltraChrome K3 ink technology, an eight-colour pigment ink system delivers premium quality prints both in colour and black & white.
Epson UltraChrome K3 inks
The full inkset includes cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan, light magenta, light black, light light black, photo black or matte black. Prints are photo quality providing excellent neutral greyscale performance with smooth tonal reproduction. UltraChrome K3 inks offers a wide colour gamut, meaning that even colours such as vibrant orange, signal red and ochre can be achieved. The lighter inks also allow smooth gradations for the printing of skintones and pastel colours. UltraChrome K3 ink offers outstanding durability, so prints will look good for longer on a wide range of paper types. The ink is highly light, gas and water resistant, resulting in a lifespan of up to 75 years in colour and over 100 years in black & white.

Pleasance Theatre - Edinburgh Fringe
This original exhibition will grow over the period of the festival (5th - 27th August) into a comprehensive visual record. It will be presented within the grounds of the Pleasance during the festival and. Highlights of the exhibition will also transfer to the Pleasance in London. The prints will be put on sale to raise money for the Pleasance’s charitable fund, The Charlie Hartill fund. The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial support to productions so that the writers, directors, technicians, producers and performers of the future might have an opportunity to hone their talents.
