 Boston Print Buyers dinner meeting : At a special dinner meeting on Tuesday, June 26th, 2007, Boston Print Buyers (BPB) is producing an special dinner event that will showcase the teamwork that exists between print customer and print provider. "Triumphs in Printing!" will take place at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel, near Faneuil Hall marketplace, from 6 to 8:30 pm. Registration is now open throughout the Boston Print Buyers website. Both buyers and print providers are invited to register for this event and to share their stories about a particular printed piece that had unexpected challenges during production. Perhaps there was a problem with the job's format, or with the paper, or during the mailing phase.

Whatever the problem was, the print customer, along with his or her printer, overcame it, through a combination of their professional skill and experience. Upon registration, each attendee is invited to submit a short description of a particular job they'd like to share with the audience during the program, including how the problem was solved. BPB will contact those attendees whose stories will be shared. Print buyers (including designers) are invited to ask their printer-partner to register and share the glory; likewise, printers are encouraged to ask their customers to attend. Sharing a story is not a requirement to register for this event.
Focus on overcoming production challenges
This special program offers attendees a rare opportunity to show off a particularly difficult print job - and describe how they worked as a team to pull it off. The stories shared with the audience will showcase creative problem-solving and provide educational value to buyers and printers alike.
Program details and prizes
The event will begin with networking and cocktails, followed by a buffet dinner and the program. Boston Print Buyers founder Margie Dana will moderate the discussion. After the individual stories are shared, prizes will be awarded. Attendance at this special event costs $25 for members of Boston Print Buyers; $55 for all others. There will be a $10 surcharge for all walk-ins. Pre-registration is recommended, as seating is limited.
