NikonCash back offer during Nikon anniversary : Nikon Europe is kicking off Nikon’s 90th Anniversary Celebration with a tempting Cash Back offer on selected kits built around the company’s award-winning D40 and D40x digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. Buyers of either camera in one of the packages below from June 1, 2007 through August 31, 2007 are eligible for 90 Euro cash back. To claim their cash back, consumers need only visit the Nikon web site and follow the instructions given. Once approved, the funds will be transferred directly to the consumer’s bank account electronically. Nikon Europe plans to promote the Cash Back celebration with point-of-sale information at camera dealers.

“Nikon Europe is delighted to share the celebration of 90 years of Nikon quality with our customers and dealers,” said Martina Beckman, Manager Communications & Marketing Services for Nikon Europe. “This program gives buyers a chance to get a great Nikon camera and lens combination at a great price.” The 10-megapixel Nikon D40x SLR is one of the smallest, yet fastest, digital single-lens reflex cameras available. It boasts near instant power-up combined with a shooting rate of up to three frames per second, plus a large, bright LCD screen and features like built-in auto focus, 3D Colour Matrix Metering and auto white balance. The D40x was recently named the Best Entry Level D–SLR in Europe 2007 by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).

The Nikon D40 won the Gold Award from DIWA, the Digital Imaging Websites Association, for its high overall performance at a competitive price. The Nikon D40 is a compact 6.1-megapixel digital SLR with simplified features, exceptional handling speed and a visually-intuitive menu system. It can shoot 2.5 pictures per/sec for up to 100 shots and includes a 2.5-inch color LCD display.
