Steve's DigicamsOlympus Stylus 760 review at Steves Digicams : Our good friends at Steves Digicams have published their review of the Olympus760 camera. The Olympus 760 digital compact camera packs 7.1 Megapixels, enabling beautiful, detailed pictures - no matter if rain or shine. This 3x zoom camera also integrates Dual Image Stabilization. Blur due to camera shake is therefore significantly reduced, ensuring that photographers will easily be able to record those special moments when fast, spontaneous action is required to capture the shot. precision 3x optical zoom (37-111mm on 35mm cam, 1:3.4-5.7) gives photographers the flexibility they need to bring subjects in close and a resolution of 7.1 Megapixels ensures plenty of detail-capturing power.

Olympus 760 - LCD screen
According to Steve Digicams: "The Olympus 760 uses a large 2.5-inch "HyperCrystal" LCD, which I found worked well in most lighting condition except for bright sunlight. Because the display has a shiny surface, there are still many angles that reflect the sun. For indoor shooting, or anytime you're in low- ambient lighting, it "gains up" to help brighten your subject. As with all Stylus series cameras, the 760 features a durable metal exterior and is made water tight by rubber gaskets on the inside to seal gaps and prevent moisture from entering the body."

Olympus Stylus 760 review conclusion - Steves Digicams
Steve continues: "Indoor shooting will have to work within the limits of the flash. Olympus claims the flash has a maximum range of 11.8 feet at wide angle (ISO auto.), so long range shots are limited. My best indoor portrait shots were from about 6 feet away, using the mid telephoto end of the zoom range. The creative photographer can use "Bright Capture" to clearly preview your shot on the LCD and capture brighter, more vivid images without a flash." In the same way the reviews are being written. According to Steve, it should not be necessary to follow a course in photography to be able to understand a review. For this approach Steve is well known world wide and he is welcome to it by his many readers. Beside test reports Steve's site has various other items, like a forum, camera specifications, daily "breaking" news.
