PNYPNY Solid State Drives at Computex Taipei : PNY Technologies, Inc. will showcase its new solid state drive (SSD) lineup at the 2007 Computex International Information Technology Show in Taipei, Taiwan from June 5th through June 9th. “SSDs are an emerging technology-on pace to replace traditional hard disk drives in many mobile applications,” said Jason Breakstone, product manager, Solid State Drives for PNY Technologies. “As we see flash prices continue to decrease, the significant advantages that SSDs provide over traditional rotational disk solutions will be justified by the consumer.” Members of the press and tradeshow attendees are invited to PNY’s booth to learn about PNY’s new SSD product line.

The drives are configured with NAND flash chips, which greatly improve system performance, enhance ruggedness, and use less energy. Breakstone added, “Performance, power efficiency, and durability are all important criterion for the mobile user. PNY’s SSDs provide incredible improvements in these three areas, a feat unattainable by traditional hard disk drives.” Details regarding product offerings, availability and pricing for PNY’s new SSDs will be officially announced on June 5, 2007. Additional PNY mobile solutions to be featured at Computex Taipei 2007 include its flash memory cards, USB flash drives, memory upgrades as well as VGA cards.
