“Our customers’ desire for new and exciting experiences aboard our ships is the driver behind our selecting Samsung LCD televisions for our ships,” said Jeff Danis, vice president, Supply Chain Management for Royal Caribbean. “Samsung provides well-designed, advanced products that make our ships even more luxurious and support our commitment to being a leader in innovation in the cruise industry.”

Samsung LCD HDTV - Celebrity cruises
Building on the success of last year, which brought Samsung LCD HDTVs into the staterooms and key public areas of five ships including Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas and Majesty of the Seas; Celebrity Cruise’s Century; and the new Azamara Journey, Samsung seeks to continue to provide guests with the ultimate cruise experience. Samsung plans to begin providing sets this year and continuing through 2010. This will allow guests aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Independence of the Seas and Genesis, and Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse, to take advantage of the newest LCD HDTVs from Samsung. Each set will feature the latest innovations and cutting-edge technology that have helped Samsung receive numerous awards and accolades, and greatly expand its U.S. market share across multiple HDTV categories. Samsung also plans to outfit other ships as they are renovated, replacing current televisions with sleek and slim units.
