Imation appoints Chief Marketing Officer : Imation announced that Stephen F. Moss has been named Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer responsible for providing leadership for brand asset management on a global basis as the Company continues to grow its portfolio of brands in both commercial and consumer data storage media and accessories. In his role, a new position at Imation, Mr. Moss will report to Imation President and CEO Frank Russomanno and will be responsible for the brand portfolio management, channel marketing and development and product line strategy. Imation is the only company in the world solely focused on the development, manufacture and supply of removable data storage products.

TDK recording media business
"With our acquisition of the Memorex portfolio, recent announcement of our plans to acquire the TDK recording media business, and our own established line of Imation branded products, we will have three solid global brands in our consumer portfolio, each with different strengths and distinct regional positions in the retail market," said Russomanno. "In the US alone, our brands are in the top retailers and we have gained top market share positions in many regions of the world. Stephen F. Moss
Over a career spanning more than two decades, Mr. Moss has held executive marketing positions with P&L responsibility at several multinational companies. He was Vice President and CMO at Ice Cream Partners, USA, a $680 million start-up joint venture between Pillsbury and Nestle bought outright by Nestle in 2001. As Vice President of International Marketing at The Pillsbury Co., Moss managed global brand development strategy for Green Giant, Haagen-Dazs, and Old El Paso, generating combined revenue of $1.5 billion. At Grand Metropolitan North America he was VP, International Brand Director for Goldschlager and VP of Marketing for the company's Canadian affiliate. Early in his career, he also held marketing, consulting and retail management positions with Brown & Williamson Tobacco, The Graduate Hospital, National Geographic Society, and Diplomatic Duty Free Shop, Ltd. Most recently, he worked as a business, brand licensing and marketing strategy consultant for corporate clients in retail, manufacturing, communications, and insurance industries at Stellus Consulting LLC and his own independent consulting practice. Mr. Moss received a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and an MBA in Marketing from the Wharton School of Management at the University of Pennsylvania.
