Pentax K10D review at PhotographyBLOG : DIWA member Mark Goldstein from PhotographyBLOG has reviewed the Pentax K10D digital SLR camera. The Pentax K10D combines 10.2 effective Megapixels with a host of advanced technologies, including the Pentax-original Shake Reduction (SR) system, to deliver high-quality digital SLR photography and responsive operations to advanced amateurs and experienced hobbyists. The Dust Removal system keeps dust off the CCD surface. The Shake Reduction system is an innovative mechanism that shifts the position of the CCD image sensor vertically and horizontally at high speed using magnetic force, while adjusting the shifting speed in proportion to the amount of camera shake detected by a built-in sensor.

Pentax K10 SLR - Noise quality
According to Mark Goldstein: "This camera produces noise-free images at ISO 100 all the way up to ISO 800, with only the fastest setting of 1600 showing any appreciable noise. The Pentax K10D also dealt very well with chromatic aberrations, with limited purple fringing effects appearing only at the edges of the photo in high contrast situations. Anti-shake is a feature that sets this camera apart from its competitors and one that works very well when hand-holding the camera in low-light conditions or when using the telephoto end of the zoom range."
Pentax K10D digital SLR - Digital system camera
Mark continues: "The Pentax K10D will more than satisfy all those people who are keen to upgrade from a film-based Pentax system, providing more features and capability than the entry-level models that the company has previously released. You should also seriously consider this camera if you don't currently have any vested interest in the likes of Canon or Nikon, as it offers more bang for your buck than similarly priced models." About PhotographyBLOG
Mark Goldstein started his very active website PhotographyBLOG in January 2003. At first the one and only purpose was to let this site function as one of those popular web logs with Photography as main topic. But as we all know Photography is a pretty big subject to publish about so Mark decided to focus on some hot key points like mentioning all new introductions, reviews, reports from events like PMA and Photokina, sharing some impressive and creative photos and Mark's sole perspective of his feeling about this fascinating world of Digital Imaging. Mark is based in the UK, but his eagle-eye focuses global.
