Fujifilm FinePix S9100 review at Photoxels

PhotoxelsFujifilm FinePix S9100 review at Photoxels : DIWA member Yin Wong from Photoxels has reviewed the Fujifilm S91000 digital Megazoom camera. The Fujifilm S9100 Megazoom digital camera features a 10.7x Fujinon optical zoom lens, 9 Megapixel Fujifilm Super CCD sensor, and class-leading ISO 80-1600 performance. The camera’s highly-specified Fujinon 10.7x (28-300mm - 35mm equivalent) zoom lens incorporates aspherical elements within its design, and has already distinguished itself in terms of its optical qualities. The new Fujifilm FinePix S9100 camera’s sensitivity range, made possible by Fujifilm’s Real Photo Processor enables users to achieve images in all lighting conditions, not just bright sunlight.

According to Yin Wong: "Since the longest shutter speed in PASM goes only up to 4 sec., I have to switch to Manual mode. I use the Exposure Indicator to help me get an approximation of when correct exposure is achieved. Note that the Exposure Indicator gives only an approximation and some bracketing is necessary to obtain correct exposure. CA (purple fringing) can be visible in everyday shots. In the shot above, CA is visible at the position delimited by the red square at top left (reproduced at 100% crop at bottom right)."

Fujifilm FinePix S9100 - Body and Handgrip
Yin Wong continues: "The camera is very well designed and this is apparent from the moment you pick it up. Controls click precisely and rings rotate smoothly. Overall construction feels solid and the build is very good. There is a large and deep rubber-coated handgrip (though your little finger will be tucked under the camera) and the camera looks quite professional in its black high-impact polycarbonate body." About Photoxels
Photoxels was founded in 2002 by MyKhanh Wong (Owner, Editor) and Yin Wong (Contributing Editor), the editors behind Photoxels. In 2001, we went on the Web to learn about digital cameras like everyone else. But it seems that the more we read about digital cameras, the more reviews we scrutinized, and the more we searched... the more confused we became. If we were somewhat confused about which digital cameras to buy before visiting the digital camera review sites, we became even more confused after reading most of the (very) technical reviews. Slowly, one article and one review at a time, we pieced together what were really important to know about digital cameras and clarified many of the digital photography-related terminology. We decided to share what we learned on the Internet, and Photoxels was born.
