PhotoxelsKodak EasyShare V803 review at Photoxels : DIWA member Yin Wong from Photoxels has reviewed the Kodak V803 digital compact camera. The 8 Megapixel Kodak EasyShare V803 has 3x Kodak Retinar Aspheric all glass optical zoom Lenses, and comes in multiple signature color choices with fun accessories to match your personal style. The Kodak V803 is packed with smart features that make great picture taking incredibly simple, including new high ISO mode up to ISO 1600 for bright pictures when shooting under low light conditions. The Kodak V803 camera offers 22 scene modes, including simple on-camera stitching for dynamic panorama shots and digital image stabilization using the anti-blur mode to prevent blurring from subject or hand movement.
Kodak EasyShare V803 review at PhotoxelsKodak V803 camera - White balance
According to Yin Wong: "We find the overall image quality of the Kodak V803 to be good with low noise at ISO 80, but we would have preferred images to retain more details. Image compression is quite high producing file sizes that are about 2MB. The Kodak V803 produces images that are saturated in colours straight out of the camera. More advanced photographers might object to the high colour saturation. It is not possible to set the WB manually. Outdoors, under natural light, the AWB works quite well."

Kodak EasyShare V803 - Responsiveness and Focus
Yin Wong continues: "Startup time is at just slightly less than 2 sec. (1 sec. for lens to fully extend and another sec. for the image to appear on the LCD). Shot to shot time is billed to be less than 1.2 sec. but in practical terms it is more about 2.5 sec. (I took 23 shots in approx. 60 sec.). Burst mode takes 4 images in sequence in about 4 sec. (i.e. 1fps). The long shot to shot time is due to the auto focus which is not particularly fast and takes approx. 1 sec. to lock (more depending on subject and light level). So, pre-focusing is recommended to eliminate shutter lag." You want to learn more about the Kodak EasyShare camera? Continue to read the Kodak EasyShare V803 review at Photoxels.

About Photoxels
Photoxels was founded in 2002 by MyKhanh Wong (Owner, Editor) and Yin Wong (Contributing Editor), the editors behind Photoxels. In 2001, we went on the Web to learn about digital cameras like everyone else. But it seems that the more we read about digital cameras, the more reviews we scrutinized, and the more we searched... the more confused we became. If we were somewhat confused about which digital cameras to buy before visiting the digital camera review sites, we became even more confused after reading most of the (very) technical reviews. Slowly, one article and one review at a time, we pieced together what were really important to know about digital cameras and clarified many of the digital photography-related terminology. We decided to share what we learned on the Internet, and Photoxels was born.
