Designers to meet in Montréal on World Graphics Day : The Society of Graphic Designers (GDC) will welcome Marie-Josée Lacroix, the City of Montréal Design Commissioner, at the opening reception of their Annual General Meeting in Montreal April 26 2007. "This is a very special opportunity for all designers from across the country to connect with designers in Montreal and to recognize World Graphics Day on April 27," said Society of Graphic Designers National President Dean McNeill. "It is especially fitting to do this in Montreal, a city with a positive and progressive policy regarding design, that recognizes the importance of design to the economic health and vibrancy of their Canadian city."
