GeneralContex ships Puma G600 iJET color scanner : Contex is pleased to announce shipment of Puma G600 iJET color scanner that delivers what others can only promise-fast, high quality scanning. Featuring advanced 48-bit CCD technology, four times the resolution of most other scanners, a 42-inch image area, LAN interface and High Speed USB2 connectivity - this model set a new standard for advanced digital imaging. "What sets Puma apart from any other scanner product is its LAN interface feature, making it a powerful network device, connecting computers, word processors, printers and other electronic office equipment - creating an effective communication system between offices," says Thomas Weldingh, Sr. VP Sales & Marketing for Contex.

Contex iJET technology takes scan-to-file and scan-to-print functionality to a new level. iJET allows the user to quickly send very large data files and batch scanned originals to any PC. The Puma G600 comes with an internal data storage area, allowing fast scan and copy operations and is configurable for both stand-alone and network scanning. Puma G600 iJET is available in two configurations, the Base version and an upgradeable SmartCard(TM) Plus version. Both support Microsoft's Windows Vista and XP platforms.
