CanonCanon iMAGE Gateway : Canon Europe announces a new and enhanced version of Canon iMAGE Gateway - the easiest way for Canon registered product owners to store, share and print photos online. The exclusive service now boasts a range of new features and personalised content, all designed to help members get the most out of their photos. “With new Canon iMAGE Gateway, Canon owners have access to a powerful and user-friendly online photo album,” said Mogens Jensen, Head of Canon Consumer Imaging Europe. “With plenty of personal storage space and great new features to discover, there has never been a better time to become a member.”

With a new look photo album, users can upload up to 100MB of photos and/or movies and then share them easily amongst family and friends. Once invited by a user, visitors can view photos and, if given permission, download original images, order prints using third-party Print Centres, or print images at home using their own Canon printer. With the addition of a new and extremely convenient drag and drop plug-in, control of images has been made more intuitive. Users can also customise their online album applying fun backgrounds and layouts. Whether uploading images or printing out beautiful photographs, Canon iMAGE Gateway is easy-to-use and designed to work perfectly with Canon cameras and printers. With it connected directly to a computer, users can personalise their camera and download start-up images and sounds using the My Camera function.

Canon EOS D-SLR photographers - Canon iMAGE Gateway
New Canon iMAGE Gateway makes it easy for members to be more creative with their photos. For Canon EOS D-SLR photographers and users of Canon’s Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software, the service features a range of Picture Style pre-sets for download. Picture Style is Canon’s unique way of simplifying control over image processing. Pre-sets can be applied to pictures in-camera or during editing on a computer: each Picture Style offers a unique colour response, providing advanced control over sharpness, contrast, colour tone and saturation. Thanks to third-party Print Centres, every Canon iMAGE Gateway member has a wealth of creative print options available to them. In addition to ordering a variety of high quality prints of their work, other options include printing photos onto mugs, t-shirts or mouse pads. Alternatively, users can also choose to print directly to a Canon photo printer. With new Canon iMAGE Gateway, it’s easy for users to discover how to get the most out of the photos they take and the images they print. Along with a range of online learning guides - including Digital Photo Basics and the All-in-One Printer Idea Book - every subscriber is eligible to receive customised articles, tailored to their registered product.
