PureDepthPureDepth Technology on Display at CeBIT : PureDepth, a global leader in next-generation display technologies and the pioneer of multi-layer display technology, announced today that its MLD technology is being showcased at the CeBIT conference in Hannover, Germany. The conference runs from March 15 through March 21, 2007. Samsung Electronics Company, Ltd. has incorporated PureDepth modules into its prototype displays and is showcasing the displays at CeBIT. French technology site Best Of Micro, reporting from the show, describes the PureDepth-enhanced displays in Samsung’s booth as “convincing.” In addition, Associated Press recently said PureDepth’s technology “Could profoundly change the US$85 billion U.S. gambling industry”

“We are pleased to have our technology integrated and on display in the Samsung booth at CeBIT and we look forward to continuing to build our partnership with Samsung,” stated PureDepth CEO Fred Angelopoulos. “We are making real progress in our goal of establishing the PureDepth technology in the mass consumer market, and recent press coverage from Associated Press to overseas weblogs is an indication that this is happening rapidly.”

PureDepth technology is a layered, multi-dimensional (using real depth between two or more LCD panels, in this case) viewing innovation that enables users to simultaneously view two separate fields of data on one monitor. By overlaying two or more separate image planes within a single monitor, PureDepth technology provides true depth of vision that significantly enhances the visual experience with realistic 3D effects, faster response to time-critical data and better assimilation and comprehension of data of any kind.
