SanyoSanyo Xacti DMX-CG65 : Sanyo Japan introduces the new Sanyo Xacti CG65 digital compact camera. This new model will be available in April 2007 and features a 6 Megapixel image sensor and 5x optical zoom. The new Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG65 camera features a newly developed high-precision LSI (large-scale integration) engine III for image processing. This powerful high-definition engine executes a vast number of calculations in a short period of time. It enables the Sanyo Xacti CG65 digital camera to realize image processing functions such as real-time MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression and noise reduction. In addition, the sound quality is excellent with stereo sound of 48kHz sampling in 16 bit compressed with AAC system.

The Sanyo Xacti CG65 features an large 2.5-inch LCD display with 110,000 total pixels for great viewability. The display flips out from the camera and rotates up to 285 degrees on axis for taking great video or still images in otherwise difficult locations. The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG65 supports the new Secure Digital flash platform SDHC. SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity and has a minimum storage capacity of 4GB and a maximum of up to 32GB with future SHDC cards. When using a 8GB SDHC flash memory card the Sanyo Xacti CG65 is able to capture a total of 10 hours of video.

As with all previous Sanyo Xacti digital media cameras, the Sanyo CH65 can record still images in addition to video clips. A newly developed 6.37 Megapixel (6 million effective) CCD captures beautiful 6 Megapixel still images which are recorded directly onto a standard SD or SDHC flash memory card.

The Xacti CG65 incorporates a 1/2.5 inch CCD with 6.37 Megapixels (total). Using 9-pixel image mixing technology, it captures low-noise images at 9x sensitivity. Sanyo's original algorithm utilizes a pixel-interpolation filter to convert images from 6.0 Megapixels into the recorded equivalent of 10 Megapixels (3670 x 2760 pixels). Images can be printed at up to A3 size with superb precision, and specific parts of an image can be enlarged for detailed printing. The Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG65’s high-performance 5x optical zoom lens features a maximum aperture of f/3.5.
