 Solar battery charger : Advanced Media, manufacturer and marketer of the popular Ridata brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is adding a new photovoltaic solar-powered battery charger to its Ridata product line. The Solar Charger 2000 charges mobile phones and electronic devices such as MP3 players, PDAs, GPS, hand-held games (including Sony PlayStation(R) Portable), and Apple iPod as well as USB and Bluetooth devices. It will be on display in the Ritek 2007 2007 PMA Show Booth P193. "Our new Ridata Solar Charger 2000 allows battery-operated devices to be charged virtually anywhere in the world, even under heavy clouds," commented Harvey Liu, Advanced Media president.

"A solar power charger, such as this, is one of the most important and significant additions to the electronic industry, as its use does not depend on a compatible electric outlet being handy. Solar power is also environment friendly, clean, reusable, unlimited, and absolutely free," Liu added. The Solar Charger 2000 features a 5V 500mA power bank, and has a built-in 3.7V, 900mA portable rechargeable lithium battery. In direct sunlight conditions, it will fully charge any applicable battery in three hours; however, even under heavy cloud cover, it still has exceptional charging capability. It also charges when connected to an AC/DC charger or a car's 12V cigarette lighter.
Ridata solar battery charger - Design
It is lightweight, durable, and waterproof, and performs as efficiently as any current conventional charger. Whether in use or not, its compact size takes up hardly any room: opened, it measures 8.3" x 8.6"; closed it is 8.3" x 2.8". It weighs under 8 ounces.
