ArcSoft solutions for digital cameras : ArcSoft is demonstrating its new Smile Detection, Blink Detection, and D-Lighting Embedded Solutions for digital cameras and camera phones this week at PMA 2007. Together with ArcSoft’s existing and widely touted Embedded Solutions, these technologies give camera makers the opportunity to provide advanced enhancement functions built in to their devices. “Today’s digital capture devices, particularly camera phones, are everywhere now,” said Michael Downs, ArcSoft Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “With our Smile Detection, Blink Detection, and D-Lighting technologies embedded into their devices, people can capture better photos and avoid common problems, such as closed-eye.”

Arcsoft Smile & Blink Detection
The Smile Detection and Blink Detection technologies help ensure that everyone’s face looks “picture-perfect” with every shot. The new D-Lighting technology compensates for unfavorable lighting conditions by brightening underexposed areas and balancing overexposed areas. These new technologies further expand ArcSoft’s extensive line of embedded solutions and confirm ArcSoft’s position as one of the key providers of multimedia software for camera phone vendors worldwide.
