Focus on ImagingNikon UK seminar schedule for Focus on Imaging 2007 : Nikon UK is pleased to announce an exciting seminar schedule for this year's Focus on Imaging, which takes place from the 25th February - 28th February at the NEC in Birmingham. Speakers this year will focus on two key areas: inspiration and technology. Inspiration talks will incorporate a whole host of topics including travel photography from Steve Davey, time lapse and animation from Martin Shann, as well as inspirational talks from Apple. The technology seminars will be led by Nikon experts and partners including Epson, Microsoft and Mitsubishi. The Nikon Camera range will be on display and the Nikon team will also be on hand to give advice and answer any questions.
Nikon UK seminar schedule for Focus on Imaging 2007Magnum Photographer Bruno Barbey
Nikon is also delighted to confirm that Magnum Photographer, Bruno Barbey will give an exciting talk on Tuesday morning in the Inspiration seminar area at 10.45am. Barbey began his relationship with Magnum Photos in 1964 and a full member in 1968, a year when he documented the political unrest and the French student riots in Paris. Over four decades, Bruno Barbey has journeyed across five continents and numerous world conflicts, though he does not consider himself a war photographer, he nevertheless covered the civil war in Nigeria, Vietnam, the Middle East, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ireland, Iraq and Kuwait.

University of Missouri Photojournalism Award
His work has appeared in most major magazines in the world. Barbey has received numerous awards for his work, including the French "National Order of Merit", the "Overseas Press Club Award", and the "University of Missouri Photojournalism Award". He has been exhibited internationally and his photographs are in the collection of numerous museums.
