The operating income amounted to 1,580 million yen (down 43.7% from the year-earlier period) because of an increase in the cost of sales ratio due to the impact of decreased unit prices of digital camera modules, though profits were improved thanks to the effect of reduction in production cost of microlenses and increased sales of lenses for surveillance cameras.
