CanonCanon Australia toner cartridge recycling program : Canon Australia announced a new procedure for recycling Canon all-in-one cartridges and Canon toner bottles. Instead of calling a courier, users of Canon all-in-one printers will now either sign up as a Cartridges 4 Planet Ark program participant or take their used all-in-one Canon cartridges and toner bottles to their nearest Planet Ark drop off location. Businesses that consume a high volume of printer, fax and photocopier cartridges can arrange for a free Cartridges 4 Planet Ark collection bin to be placed in their office or building. Empty cartridges are placed in the bin and when the bin is full, they are picked up free of charge.

Previously, Canon customers would call a courier to collect the recyclables and deliver them to a Canon warehouse for sorting and forwarding to a recycling facility. By utilising the highly successful and established Cartridges 4 Planet Ark recycling program, this new procedure simplifies and speeds up the recycling process and reduces the burden on the environment by eliminating the double handling of toner bottles and cartridges.
