 Canon UK appoints Terry Smith as Finance Director : Canon UK and Ireland, has announced the appointment of Terry Smith to the position of Finance Director on the Canon UK Board. Smith joins Canon from his previous role as Finance Director for Unilever PLC, where he held numerous finance positions, including Marketing and Manufacturing Accountant and most recently, Finance Director for Unilever UK Export. He qualified as a management accountant in 2002 and leaves Unilever following eighteen years of service. In his new role at Canon, Terry will be responsible for overseeing Canon UK and Ireland’s finances and working closely with the newly appointed European CBS Finance Director at Canon Europe, Peter Brown.

Canon is a world-leader in technology and business practice in the digital imaging marketplace and I’m excited about bringing my expertise to a successful team.” Smith is a keen runner and will compete in the London Marathon for the second time in 2007.
