Audio-Video-SupplyAudio Video Supply machine vision lenses : Audio Video Supply, Inc. San Diego, CA has introduced a wide selection of 1 inch format, ultra high resolution machine vision lenses. The MV family of lenses are designed for the demanding megapixel machine vision, inspection, and medical applications. All models are designed for flat field high resolution 1" sensor applications. The focal length range extends from 12.5 mm to 75 mm. The lenses feature integral locking screws for both iris and focus rings to insure consistent focus and aperture. The available focal lengths are 12.5, 16, 25, 35, 50, and 75mm. Once commonplace with the old visions and new vision tube cameras, the one-inch format lens has gradually gone away.
Machine vision lensesMegapixel machine vision cameras
Recently however, with the advent of megapixel machine vision cameras using the larger format sensor the demand to 1 in. format lenses has risen dramatically. This line addresses a market that has been very limited for years. Vision engineers will testify that the new megapixel cameras are only as good as the optics on the front. The larger the sensor format is, the more important is the quality of the lens. With 6.6 and 8.0 Megapixel sensors becoming more common the lens becomes more critical.

MV camera line - Lens features
The MV line also has been designed for flexibility when it comes to Minimum Object Distance because many applications require close up imaging. These lenses are all standard "C" mount to fit all cameras and come with manual focus and aperture. F-Stop ranges from f1.2 to 22. They are built with a metal barrel for rugged applications.
