 Panasonic Lumix FZ8 Sample Images : At the press conference of Panasonic in Paris we were able to shoot with the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 digital Megazoom camera. The Panasonic FZ8 is a camera for the photographer who is into a variety of photographic shooting. Although the camera is easy to handle and incorporates a range of pre-programmed scenes, it is offering a range of photographic settings like P/S/A/M for the more experienced photographer. I took the Panasonic camera with me to Versailles and was able to test the new Intelligent ISO control in combination with the MEGA O.I.S stabilizing system. I have to remind you that the images of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ8 are still a pre-production level, not final level!

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 Features
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 is equipped with a 7.2 Megapixel CCD and a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens offering a 12x optical zoom (equivalent to 36mm to 432mm on a 35mm film camera) with an aperture of f/2.8 to f3.3. Handy is the ability to extend this zoom to 18x in 3 Megapixel mode, the so-called Extra Optical Zoom function. In combination with the digital zoom the total zoom reaches 72x. The joystick-control on the back of the camera handles the adjustment of the settings very easy.

The sample images of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 digital camera are made in Paris during the Panasonic global meeting. After the introduction of a complete new Lumix digital camera line-up I was able to shoot a variety of pictures with the Panasonic FZ8 camera. Remarkable features of the camera are light weight, very compact, optical image stabilizer, intelligent ISO control and a range of settings that would make the camera ideal for enthusiastic photographers.
